Bethany History: Edmunds Grocery Store & Meat Market. At the time of Bethany's great fire in 1911 this property was owned by T.J. Jackson. Following the fire which completely destroyed the old store, Mr Jackson had the present building constructed. He sold it to Milton Challice in 1927, who in turn sold it to Walter Price. In 1946 the business was bought by Mr. Reg. Edmunds, who came from the nearby village of Millbrook. Mr. Edmunds is a veteran of World War II, having several years' service in the Canadian Air Force.
