Quebec First Cemetery, Quebec City, Capitale-Nationale Region, Quebec, Canada
Notes: The site of Quebec's first cemetery is in an adjacent lot north of the Cite de la Montagne, halfway to the top. The cemetery was used from 1608 until 1670. Some 300 people are buried there. They were either originally from France or were Aboriginal people who converted to Christianity.
Today, a single wooden cross marks the cemetery's location. There was a time when several small crosses indicated gravesites.
The Cite de la Montagne Cemetery in Old Quebec marks back to the days of early French settlers in North America
